Websites and working tools for artists and makers
Give every artwork a page—and every body of work room to breathe.
Organise your practice into clear galleries, keep artwork details together and help visitors move from discovering a collection to understanding an individual piece.

Organise around the kinds of work you make
Choose the kinds of work you make, such as Paintings, Sculpture or Drawing. These are called Artwork Types.
Choose a Type when adding a piece, and Webarto places it in the right gallery.
Several galleries, one artist website
Give paintings, sculpture or another body of work its own gallery. Keep them together under Portfolio or give an important collection its own menu link.
Your different collections stay part of one website.
Add detail where it helps
Use categories and subcategories to organise work more closely.
Paintings might be organised into Landscapes and Abstract work. Landscapes could then include Coastal work and the Yorkshire Dales.
There is no need to create a complicated structure for a small portfolio. Add detail when it makes the work easier to manage or explore.

Every artwork tells its own story
Keep the images, materials, dimensions, price and availability with the artwork. Its page gives visitors the details—and gives you a direct link to share with a collector or gallery.
Webarto prepares the main search information from those details.
Make availability clear
Show whether work is available or sold, and use the available purchasing controls to reflect how it is currently being offered.
A sold piece can remain part of your portfolio without leaving visitors uncertain about its status.
Connect the work to the places that support it
Use Where to Buy to connect an artwork to an art gallery, exhibition or shop.
Visitors can see where the piece is displayed or available, while the artwork remains part of your own online portfolio.
Where appropriate, control online purchasing while a work is being offered elsewhere.

Begin with your practice
Shape the story around your galleries
The Type galleries provide a dependable structure. Flexible sections allow the wider Portfolio page to introduce them in your own way.
Feature a collection, include a Blog story about its development or draw attention to an exhibition announcement.
