Who is responsible for your information

WEBARTO LTD, trading as Webarto, is the controller for personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 15370321. Our registered office is Beckside, Flasby, Skipton, England, BD23 3PX. Contact info@webarto.co.uk about your information, rights or a data protection complaint.

This notice covers the Webarto marketing website and access enquiries. Webarto is currently available to UK-based artists and makers.

Information used for an access request

The request form requires your first name, last name, email address and a message about your work and what you need. Without these details we cannot process the request through that form. You can also contact info@webarto.co.uk.

Phone number, current website or social link, preferred plan and payment period are optional. We may also record the source page, submission time, the privacy notice version shown and your privacy acknowledgement and marketing choice. Do not send passwords, payment card details or confidential customer information in your message.

Why we use information and our lawful bases

We use enquiry information to review your request, understand your needs and respond about the next step. Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request towards an individual subscription, we rely on the precontractual steps basis.

For general enquiries and contacts acting for a business, we rely on our legitimate interests in answering enquiries and managing business relationships. Where technical and security records are used to prevent abuse or keep this website operating securely, we use an appropriate lawful basis, including our legitimate interests in protecting the website and its users.

Subscriber account administration, billing and any records required by law are addressed in the privacy information supplied with the subscription. A privacy acknowledgement is not blanket consent to all processing.

Optional marketing emails

If you choose the separate optional marketing checkbox, we use your email address and relevant preference records to send occasional Webarto news, product updates and invitations with your consent. Leaving this unchecked does not affect your access request.

You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in marketing emails or by contacting info@webarto.co.uk. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Enquiry replies and necessary service messages are separate from optional marketing.

Sharing information and international transfers

Information may be handled by service providers supporting website hosting, email delivery, enquiry administration and security, where needed for those purposes. Access should be limited to people and providers who need it. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

UK subscriber eligibility does not mean that all providers or data storage are located in the UK. Where a restricted international transfer is made, the applicable UK transfer requirements must be met, such as an adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact info@webarto.co.uk for information about relevant recipients, locations and safeguards.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information for the period needed to review and answer the request, carry out the resulting discussion and resolve related issues. Closed or unsuccessful enquiries should be reviewed and deleted when there is no continuing business or legal need. If you become a subscriber, relevant information may form part of your account and contractual records.

Marketing information is kept while the relevant consent remains in use. We retain only the preference or suppression information needed to record consent and respect an unsubscribe request. Legal, accounting, security and dispute records may need different retention periods. Retention and backup deletion arrangements should match the purposes and applicable legal requirements.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances and legal conditions, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your information, request portability, or object to processing. You can withdraw consent where we rely on it. Contact info@webarto.co.uk to exercise your rights.

You can raise a data protection complaint with us at info@webarto.co.uk. We will acknowledge it within 30 days, investigate appropriately and communicate the outcome. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.

Artists’ and makers’ websites and changes to this notice

An artist or maker using Webarto is normally responsible for the information collected through their own website. Their privacy notice should explain that use. Webarto may process that information on their instructions under the relevant data processing agreement. This marketing notice does not replace the artist’s or maker’s own privacy information.

We will update this notice when the marketing website’s data use changes. The version and effective date identify the applicable notice. Questions: info@webarto.co.uk.
